Rwanda Signs Strategic Investment Agreement for Electric Vehicle Assembly

On 31 October 2026, the Rwanda Development Board signed a strategic investment agreement with Ecofleet Solutions and Chery Holding Rwanda to establish an electric vehicle assembly plant. Related agreements include an offtake arrangement for 300 electric buses and plans for electric goods transportation. The total project investment and transaction value were not disclosed, and the agreement is an investment partnership rather than a completed acquisition.
